But as soon as you boot your RGH NAND, it’s fully detected and accessible as official “Internal” Storage. The Stock NAND by design will ONLY recognize and access official Microsoft Trinity Memory Units from this USB header. P.S.: I call it stealth storage because you can leave it in 24/7, even when booting from Stock NAND. Then, paying special attention to the orientation of the QSB in relation to the motherboard, match the remaining wire/pins to their appropriate color on the Memory Unit Header. Or if you don't have the Memory Addon QSB, connect the bottom pad of R1D1 to your red 5v wire/pin of your Female USB connector. The top left red QSB pad connects to the bottom pad (furthest from back of motherboard) of R1D1.

I decided to post this information to make the internal RGH memory mod public again, as I remember doing this mod on one of my older consoles before any product was on the market.

I didn't feel a full trace map was necessary for this one, but I wanted to both raise awareness of this cool addon by Element18592 ( sold in the US by TheWeekendModder) and re-document how to add internal storage to the Memory Unit header of Trinity consoles (which is the reason Trinities are my absolute favorite motherboards). If it's wired up this way then the circuit will be physically disconnected when booted to your stock dashboard.
You could totally resolved any risk I grabbing almost any line of power that's only active when the RGH is turned on and using that to power a transistor to function as a relay and turned on ground when booted to the RGH dashboard. It can and does risk you being banned from Xbox Live. My point is not to be nitpicky but to communicate that this is in every way not stealth whatsoever. So even though the old Xbox dashboard wouldn't show you the new Partition on your new hard drive it didn't mean that Microsoft was incapable of changing an internal change in your console.

However if you were to mod your console and change out your hard drive after they had attached the serial number of your console hard drive to your console ID they would detect the change know your console was modified and ban you from Xbox Live. However Microsoft later started tying the hard drive serial number to the console ID which meant if you had changed out your hard drive prior to them implementing that change you were fine. For a Time people could boot from the onboard flash of the Xbox with a non modified dashboard and connect to Xbox Live. On the original Xbox people had modified their consoles and replaced the hard drives in them. This does not mean the software is incapable seeing the drive it means it's choosing not to show it to the user. So the software if the dashboard it is capable of recognizing the storage it's simply not going to show non-official non-Microsoft-approved storage. This is demonstrated by the fact that when using a hacked dashboard it will show the storage.

To reinforce my point: if I were to install a standard SATA hard drive in the hard drive bay the Xbox would not display it because of a software lockout but that does not mean it's incapable of recognizing it's there. As a result Microsoft could use it as a method to ban you from Xbox Live at any time. Just because the dashboard does not show it to you does not mean that Microsoft could not detect it. The fact that you can see the storage when booted into a modified nand means that the Xbox can see the storage. However this is not stealth in any true sense. It almost certainly matters to no one doing this modification since the Xbox 360 is reaching end of life. Using a small transistor as a relay you could have the storage turn on and off by disconnecting ground when booting to the non-RGG Dash. this is a cool mod but not in any way stealth and could get you banned from Xbox Live consider yourself warned. TL DR: WARNING YOU TECHNICALLY COULD BE BANNED FROM XBOX LIVE FOR THIS.
